When people hear we've worked on a 45m Wally yacht, they probably think it's about few blocks, a furling system or some custom deck hardware.
But this project? It was on a completely different scale! ⚓
The yacht’s bow thruster kept breaking down, and they needed more than just a quick fix, they wanted a permanent solution. With no original drawings to guide us, we took on the challenge of reverse-engineering a big chuck of the system from scratch, produce all the production documentation, finding the material, the best manufacturer... and boom!
The most challenging part? CNC-machine a 1-tonne aluminum block to craft a custom thruster housing, transforming a problem into a rock-solid component. 💪
But that’s not where it ended. We also engineered and built new lifting arms and even a full aluminum propeller to ensure every part was built for ultimate strength and durability.
All the parts were also anodized before entering the paint booth for the final touch.
When you need something that lasts, we don’t just fix the problem—we engineer and deliver long-term solutions that make you forget about it!
At MORFRAC, we thrive on challenges, and this project proves it: no task is too big or too complex (nor too heavy! 😉).
So whether it’s sleek deck hardware or on a grand scale custom yacht components, we’ve got your back.
Got a challenge? Let’s tackle it together!
